Praise for Lesilie Mancillas:
“In published excerpts from her memoir, SRJC faculty member Leslie Mancillas reveals shocking memories of childhood trauma and lingering pain. Her writing is superb, even as it wrenches at the reader’s moral conscience with unsettling accounts of endured child abuse. The author’s journey eventually arrives at a calmer place with new ways of processing and understanding remorse, healing, and forgiveness. Ultimately, Mancillas finds solace in replacing generational cycles of pain and dysfunction with love and connection. Please join me in congratulating our colleague Leslie Mancillas on reaching wide audiences with her recent and anticipated publications and sharing her gift of writing for others to experience.”
