Author Leslie Mancillas, M.A.

Leslie is a published author and has been an educator of immigrant students for over 25 years. Her latest work is centered on her focus of memoir writing and her stories in her last book “Make Love”; which was inspired by our nation’s 62% divorce rate. Having defied these odds with over 25 years with one partner, she revealed practical and humorous tips on how to make a relationship thrive. While not a therapist, Leslie has an honorary Ph.D. in keeping emotionally and physically connected to her partner while raising children. Both SF Bay Area, National and International publications praised this work.

Leslie has also published three books of immigrant memoir stories and raised 25,000 in funds from a SF Bay Area High School. Her published works "La Raza", "Letters to Home" and "Nuestra cultura” were published and sold through SF Bay Area Copperfield's Booksellers.

Leslie now is focusing on writing her new three part memoir book series centering on surviving her childhood abuse and learning through spirituality and healing how to create happiness in her daily life as a mother, wife, friend, educator and supporter of world peace activities in her community.

World Peace NGO of the UN periodical SGI Quarterly 2014 recently published her personal story that she wrote about overcoming life-changing challenges.
